Until it is resolved, there's nothing anyone can do. Howver, there is an interim patch available that will fix the dla driver problem, pending an update to EMC9, available here. You can but try - I've heard that it will work but not having had that problem myself I can't say with certainty. So, why no feedback from Roxio about this. You'd think it would be sticky at the top of the forums!
For the very simple reason that it was a fix for Dell - which is why we're telling you to check their website and that there are no guarantees. Woul;d you mind letting us all into the secret - just where did it say that EMC 10 is launched because nobody here has seen that. Haven't got a clue what you are posting about. EMC 10 doesn't even exist. What "roxio lunch" are you talking about?
Why wasn't I invited. Probably cos they didn't have enough beer. The patch worked for me Roxio has already stated that on the boards that there will be an update for EMC 9. Obviously it's not ready yet as they have not posted it yet. And there is NO emc 10 yet. It would be the next version some day , and has only been eluded to in a news article where they talked about the free Roxio Central they've put up for Vista users.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I also have been getting a messages that stated.. Verify that the program to be upgraded exits on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch". On your old computer in XP, any update patch you apply must match the version 7 that you have installed. There were several versions, and if you want to update you must get the right version. EMC 9 is not sold by Roxio any more - it is two years old.
The current version is EMC 11, which they have named Creator for some strange reason. Just unselect D2D if you get a 'custom' installation - 9. Be careful. The OEM version will not give you everything you expect. I won'y comment on the illegal possibility but post where you got it. I didn't buy it. Confusing ain't it.
