I have several models of wifi adapter and it's the same for all of them, I understand in order for them to wake the system needs to keep that USB port active, I just can't seem to find a way to do that. Have any of you been successful with this? Have you checked the power settings on the same NIC? Also, in Advanced power settings you'll want to make sure the computer doesn't shut down the USB ports when it sleeps. Hi, yes I have checked those settings.
Login to your windows 10 or windows 8. In Device Manager, expand Network Adapters section and locate yor network adapter, right click it and choose properties.
Go to the Power Management tab, and check the settings, Allow this device to wake the computer and only allow a magic packet to wake the computer. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. HP Recommended.
